Join Us For The Reed Neet
Northumbria celebrates in style.! In memory of our own Bard, Fred Reed, we pipe (Northumbrian, of course!) in a giant stooty and then sing its praises. It gets a chance to reply and then succumbs to the “forst hack”!! before being divided up to eat with a traditional pie and pea supper.
We also toast Fred (and this year his late son, Raymond) and listen to a reply from a member returning the toast.
Everyone then gets a chance to join in with a party piece. It can be in dialect. It can be your own work. it can be a favourite piece by someone else. Or maybe just a recollection you would like to share.
