2022 Lecture confirmed.

The Northumbrian Language Society 2022 Annual Lecture will be taking place in  the Town Hall Corn Exchange Morpeth on the 15^thOctober

Our lecturer, Warren Maguire, was postponed in 2020, and we are delighted that his schedule allows him to appear in person.  Warren is Senior Lecturer in English Language at the  University of Edinburgh

His research focusses on dialects of English and Scots in Britain and Ireland (especially those in north-east England, southern Scotland and Ulster) and his wide knowledge of our language and dialect promises a fascinating insight into Northumbrian Language.
